          Two days a week fast for 40 days and prayer (about 6 weeks)

One day a week fast for 40 days and prayer (about 6 weeks)

          One meal a day fast for 40 days and prayer

* 40 days does not recommend undertaking any fast without a doctor's approval. Furthermore 40 days does not recommend a water only fast for a 40 day term. There is a basic vitamin need to continue living your life without major difficulties. See Bill Bright's thoughts on this subject.
